Better than Foyt at the Brickyard
The latest rumor ahs the Cubs acquiring A.J. Pierzynski from the Twins for pitching prospects. That would be huge. AJP is arbitration eligible after making $365,000 last year. He's probably due a raise into the $3 million range. He's 26, saw his OPS rise each year he's been a regular, and threw out 30% of 66 attempted steals against.
He doesn't take a lot of pitches, but he struck out only 55 times last year.
If he comes with Koskie, I'm all for it.
