Well, the A's and Padres finally got around to executing the trade that was anounced a week ago. Here's the kicker from ESPN:

"Medical exams"? That must be cybermetric speak for "pee in a cup." Anyone who acquires a player these days must only do so after a negative 'roid / THG test. Certainly looks like that was the case here.
