Perhaps this column was right. Seems the Yanks signed Javier Vasquez to a contract extension on Monday. Included in the $45 million deal was a $2 million signing bonus. Javy saves a few grand off his 1040 by waiting to sign this until today.

Question for Mr. Pondscum: You say that betting on your team to win isn't a problem. Can't you tip off a bookie on a game (aka fixing) if you *don't* bet on your team on a given day?
