Right on the Money
Sidney Ponson signs with the O's for $22.5 million over 3 years. That's $7.5 million per year for a guy that posted 17 wins, 216 innings, a 3.75 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP.
So what do you pay for 16 wins, 218 innings, a 3.96 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP?
Oh yeah, and the second guy is 10 years older?
$14 million over 2 years is right on. And right on the line with the "$7 million and $9 million per year" that I sited yesterday.
Sign the deal, Greg.
