Must Watch TV
The Sopranos started last night with a typical opener. All the characters got some screen time to say hello. The plot lines are being setup. An "out of the blue" murder (that was pshawed off by the characters "the cops don't know us down here"). All in all, a solid, unspectacular start.
But then.....
Curb!
If that wasn't the best 9/11 humor tied into the best Holocaust humor ever, I don't know what would be ("Springtime for Hitler" comes close). Now some of my faith-tual persuasion seem to be chirping that the "survivor" plot line was over the line in terms of taste. Those who think that, they just don't get anything.
Then again, how many people have laser beams in their eyes? Much less octogenarian Jews?
